Tyson Crotty - Financial Planner
To all my previous clients...
I hope you remember me! Despite a 12-month restriction on contacting my clients, I’m humbled that so many have tracked me down themselves and have found the transition painless. I would welcome the opportunity to engage with you too.

My path to Choice Capital
The best part of my 5 years at BW Financial Advice was the ongoing relationships I had with different people, learning about family, experiences (good & bad) and goals. I really enjoyed helping people like yourself gain financial clarity & helping with what was important to them. Whether it be unique, such as a change of pace and working with charities in Papua New Guinea or life goals like owning a home or providing for a family.
As of late 2016, a decision was made to close BW Financial Advice, directly impacting employees & clients of Bankwest & BW Financial Advice which forced me to explore my options. I’m pleased that 12-months after my appointment, change has been very kind to me & has allowed me to help people more than ever before!
What happened to BW Financial advice?
When the decision was made to close BW Financial Advice a number of employees were made redundant and a large portion of clients were transferred to a non-guaranteed subsidiary of Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Will I need to change products?
No! I wouldn’t have recommended the products you hold if they weren’t appropriate when I initially provided you advice. I still have regular interaction with Colonial First State, OnePath (ANZ), Asteron amongst others and have increased my ability to advise on specialist solutions such as SMSF & direct equities for those who need it.
Do I need new advice?
Very likely. Whilst I have no doubt that the advice provided by me previously was appropriate, there are usually changes to your personal situation, objectives, legislation & product enhancements that may mean adjustments to your existing strategies or investments are prudent.
If there is a benefit for you to update your strategies or products, I will offer you the advice to make an educated decision.
Where are you based?
The team is predominantly located in Prahran, however I often meet clients at their home or office. I also have meeting rooms available in Melbourne CBD.
What are your fees?
As has always been my approach, there are no costs for a general discussion or to touch base. I have various ongoing service packages available for those who want this level of service
Insurance clients – it costs nothing for me to be your point of contact on your policies.
Can I engage you only for services such as lending and Wills?
YES - I can help you with this too!
